A chess opening trainer that drills lines until you play them without thinking. Pick an opening, play its moves on the board, and repeat it until your hands know the way.
There are 2,459 lines across 135 openings, from the Ruy Lopez and the Sicilian through to gambits you will meet once in your life. Every line comes from the Lichess opening dataset, which is public domain, and every one was replayed through a real chess library before it shipped, so nothing in here is a move somebody half remembered.
It talks in plain English. The board says "Knight to F3" and "Castle kingside" rather than Nf3 and O-O, because notation is one more thing to learn before you can start learning the openings.
Three ways through a line. Guess the move and find out straight away whether you had it. Press Show move and watch it played for you. Or switch on Show all moves and every turn marks the piece to move and the square it belongs on.
Get one wrong and it tells you the move it wanted, then waits for you to play it yourself, because the hand is the thing being trained.
Your opponent answers on its own. Finished lines get ticked, and the ticks follow you from your phone to your laptop.
