Retexture

Turn a photo into dot halftone, ASCII, or cross-stitch art
by jake

Rebuild a photo in a different medium. Retexture reads your image and redraws it as one of three things:

Halftone, the newspaper dot pattern, including a four-color CMYK mode with real offset-printing screen angles. ASCII art, which can spell out your own words across the picture instead of using a standard character set. Cross-stitch, matched to a curated thread palette and rendered as X-shaped stitches on cloth, so it doubles as a pattern you could actually sew.

Set the dot spacing and screen angle, pick a character set and color mode, or choose how many thread colors and what shade of cloth to work on.
